The line continues through output and control

Children are read from the output spirits for the male chart, and here the text adds the killing spirit as the other half of the picture: what a person produces, and what disciplines it. The branch and root of one generation passing to the next are judged from whether those two are in a workable relation. Where output is unchecked and the controlling spirit is absent, the chapter implies the line is carried forward without direction.
