The hardest call in the book

An output spirit that injures the officer is in open conflict with the chart's authority — and the text admits this is the hardest thing to judge. It can be seen (kept) when the chart has a way to turn the conflict into work: a seal to absorb it, wealth to reconcile it, or a combination that removes one party. It cannot be seen when the clash stands bare. The lesson is procedural again: find out whether the chart has a mechanism before delivering a verdict.
