Following the child

In a 'following the child' structure the day master's output is so strong that the whole chart organises itself around what the self produces. The text's instruction is almost shocking in its simplicity: do not worry about whether the day master is strong or weak — look instead at whether the child itself has a child, that is, whether the output can in turn generate something. A chart whose productive faculty keeps producing has its own continuation.
